How much does it cost?
Calls to 988 are free for everyone. Services are provided by the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline, a network of over 200 local- and state-funded crisis centers. Calls from Steuben County will be routed to centers in Kalamazoo, MI, or Lima, OH.
Will police be called also?
988 does not replace 911 for emergency services, and all calls are confidential. Counselors will only contact police or paramedics if there are clear risks to your safety or the safety of those around you.
